Shooting bugholes on a budget!
Ever since I saw a $350 Ruger American Predator shoot 1/2 MOA groups all day long, I've wanted to see how well this receiver could shoot.
This test was easier than most. A quick call to Greg Young, at Bugholes.com, and a Bartlein prefit barrel and his BugNut were in the mail. You install the barrel just like you would on a Savage. The folks over at Anarchy Outdoors sell a nice quality reaction rod for the Ruger American, which made the install even easier.
Magpul finally released their Hunter for the RAP and since our test of their Remington 700 version went well it seems like an obvious choice for this budget minded test. With the barreled action installed we headed to the range. The results were predictable. Bugholes!
